About FAC Firearms Academy Canada

In 1993, the Justice Ministry selected the most able and experienced firearms instructors in Ontario and put them through the FAC Master Instructor course in order to train the corps of instructors needed in Ontario. Just a few short weeks later, FAC Firearms Academy Canada was founded by two such Master Instructors. 

Our Mission was to provide the best possible safety course under the government guidelines for a reasonable price. 

Since then, we've been running courses on a regular schedule at least once per month in the Toronto area. Most instructors work independently and schedule courses only when they have enough students to merit a session. FAC Firearms Academy Canada believes that people need a reliable supplier who will keep to a course schedule. Only twice in eight years was it necessary to reschedule a course, due to unusual events. 

All of our instructors and examiners are certified by the Chief Firearms Office and several are "Master Instructors" as well. We have some links to instructors who also teach the Ontario Hunter Education Program.

FAC Firearms Academy Canada has administered the Canadian Firearms Safety Exam sessions at the Hunting and Outdoor Show, held every September at the International Centre near Pearson Airport. We also recently completed a contract to train about 600 Revenue Canada Customs agents at Toronto International Airport. 

We insist on a comfortable, professional, accessible learning environment, readily accessible by car or by public transit. We think our students deserve all the amenities, Our classes are held at the Day's Inn and Conference Centre on Wilson Avenue, just off Jane Street. It's seconds from the Hwy 401/400 intersection.
